Address Book Categories
ATPmail Categories is a powerful tool which uses your address book to recognize and act on incoming email. Each contact in your address book can be assigned a Category, and each Category can be assigned a color and a folder. If incoming mail is from someone in your address book, the sender's Category will determine where the mail will be placed and what color it will be identified with.
Color Coding - lets you see which mail comes from people already in your address book. This is a great first step for identifying spam and keeps you from accidently deleting an email from someone you know. Each Category can have a unique color to further identify the mail.
Folder Sorting - automatically sorts incoming email based on the Catgory of the sender. When new mail arrives, a popup message will tell you which folder the mail is in. This can be used in several ways to manage your mailbox.
- White list
Categories can be set up so that only mail from people in your address book enters your Inbox. All other mail can placed in a different folder. Most of the email that we want to recieve comes from people we know, so this method works to group the spam together in one folder.
- Simulate Multiple Accounts
Using the folder-sorting capabilities of ATPmail Categories, you can make a single email address act like multiple accounts.
Categories allow you to group the contacts in your address book based on your relationship with the contact (e.g., "Friends", "Work", "Online Vendors"). By assigning folders to your Categories, each group of contacts will be automatically placed into the corresponding folder.
ATPmail's email notification will always tell you which folder new mail has been placed in, so you'll know what the email is in relation to, before you even see it.

Right-clicking on a message in your mailbox will open a menu with several powerful functions. These functions can act on the email you click on without opening the message.
- Search For Other Mail From Sender - displays all mail in your mailbox either from or to the sender of the email. Results are displayed in your mailbox, categorized by folder.
- Add/Edit Contact Info - opens the Edit Contact screen for the sender of the email. If the sender is not already in your address book, an entry will be created. If the sender is found in your address book, you will be able to edit the contact information you have.
- Needs Response - marks message and copies into "Needs Response" folder (see below). Option becomes Remove Needs Response if message is already marked.
- Block Sender - allows you to create a spam filter based on the email of the sender.
